“The A-frame vacation home symbolizes our quest for leisure and getting away from it all.”
Richard Pedranti, architect
Located on a pristine and picturesque Pocono mountain lake, the A-frame is a simple retreat.
The distinctive form of the A-frame is both nostalgic and modern. The tee-pee shape is a tent built out of wood in the purest sense. The A-frame has been built around the world for centuries and made popular in North America in the 70’s as a vacation home. With a cathedral ceiling and a wall of windows, the feeling inside is like being outside. A small addition houses a sauna and a loft above the kitchen and bathroom creates sleeping quarters.
