Wall Mock up – the walls are super-insulated and air tight providing exceptional draft free thermal comfort with no cold spots.
Heat Recovery Ventilator (HRV) – the “lungs” of a Passive House, an HRV is used to supply a constant supply of filtered fresh air while recovering the thermal energy from the exhaust air.
Blower Door Test – determines the overall air-tightness of the building. A powerful fan is mounted in the exterior door opening depressurizing the house helping to find leaks in the exterior walls.
Advanced Windows & Doors – a key component in Passive House buildings are excellent windows and exterior doors. Air tight and triple insulated, they perform 3 times better than current building codes.
Technical/Design Drawings – detailed drawings show thermal, air, and moisture control creating a healthy, comfortable, and durable building.
